Based in the south west, Grace has been writing music since she was only 9 years old, and releasing it independently with the help of her dad since she was 13. Grace was kind enough to give us a sneak preview of her EP and we have to say we were blown away! Setting things going with the title track, a song about becoming distant with a friend, Grace's delicate vocals stand out against a backdrop of softly strummed electric guitars and a laidback drum beat. The lyrics in this track, and throughout the EP, are quirky and relatable - perfect for all indie pop fans! The EP moves into 'Footfalls', a more melancholic track rich with harmonies and stripped back segments. This track particularly showcases Grace's vocals and is a highlight of the EP! The vibe picks up again with 'Less Than Cold', the latest single already available on Spotify. This track offers a sonically different and upbeat angle, a welcome point of difference from the softer, more chilled out sound of the rest of the EP. 'Where The Wildflowers Grow' is a must-listen on this EP! Featuring a gentle electric piano, this song discusses the loss of her grandmother and demonstrates the range of Grace's vocals and songwriting talent. The EP is brought to a close with 'Rough', a short demo track that leaves us with a rockier note. Grace is certainly a talent with great things to come in the future! 🌙
